A very tasty dessert with very few ingredients. The mousse was oh so creamy and the sauce was as smooth as silk. This would be perfect for dinner guest , they will think you spent hours in the kitchen over this sweet dish. The Maple sauce would be good on just about anything, not just on the mousse.
Frozen Maple Mousse
4- Eggs or 6 Yolks
2/3 c. hot Maple Syrup
2 c. Whipping Cream
Beat eggs slightly. Add Maple Syrup slowly.
Stir and cook in double boiler until mixture thickens. Cool.
Add Whipping Cream and beat mixture till stiff.
Freeze without stirring.
Serve immediately, makes 1 quart.
I found it to be best when it just started to melt, it was creamy, creamy:)
Maple Cream Sauce

1/2 c. Whipping Cream
Bring Maple Syrup and Whipping Cream to a hard boil and boil for 5 minutes.
Cool, store in refrigerator. Makes 1-1/2 cups.
